  2. Just a thought – maybe the change from LSL to Mono would be like the change from HTML to XHTML.

    Apparently all the code from LSL is being ported to Mono, so nothing will break…hopefully

  4. Re switching from LSL to Mono: it will be much faster. I recall seeing mention of a 1000x speedup. A LOT more work has been done with optimizing the bytecode used for Mono/C## than has gone into LSL. If you look at the LSL wiki, you’ll see mentioned that the LSL interpreter/compiler doesn’t do what are these days very basic and expected optimizations.
