Two comments, lads.
I’m a free account holder and use SL extensively for my purposes (machinima), and spend plenty of L$. I’m sure there are many who will spend money in here even if they don’t have a paying account.
And secondly, on the same money saving principal, as much as Macs are cool, they are not so cool if you have to watch the pennies. A good PC and XP is effective and half the price of Mac and OS 10 even if it’s not so cool.
