<itunes:summary>It’s tax season here in the United States, and Daphne and I are both broke! Since we can’t really afford to shop, and we’re sure we’re not the only ones, we’re going to hunt for freebies!

A lot of our favorite stores on the grid have free items.Calla (http://slurl.com/secondlife/etd%20isle/194/192/31/) and ETD (http://slurl.com/secondlife/etd%20isle/194/192/31/) both have free or very inexpensive hair. Calla has several freebies intended for new residents at its service desk, and ETD has a wall of $1L hair and other very inexpensive items. In addition, Calla also carries the Jack and Jill in a box packages for male and female avies.

Siyu Suen of Illusions (http://slurl.com/secondlife/carnivale/208/94/33/) also has the Jack and Jill in a box in her store, along with some of her early work offered for free. Miko Omegamu of Icing (http://slurl.com/secondlife/mischief/129/174/24/) (one of Daphne’s absolute favorites) also offers several free dresses, though some are for store group members only. Nicky Ree (http://slurl.com/secondlife/tropical%20orchid/233/128/31/) is another designer who offers freebies both for her store group and for the general public. One of my favorite stores, <3 Cupcakes, (http://slurl.com/secondlife/popfuzz/120/225/34/) has several free dresses and a great pair of white jeans.

These aren’t the only stores with free items inside. Be sure to check your favorite stores. Also, join your favorite stores’ groups or click on their subscribe-0-matics. A lot of designers give gifts to their groups, or set out freebies just for group members.

There are also a couple of places where several designers and content makers have placed free items. The Gnubie Store (http://slurl.com/secondlife/powder%20mill/121/142/34/) has a huge amount of free and inexpensive items by lots of designers, such as: Juliette Westerburg, Emma Gilmour, Polyester Partridge, Torrid Midnight, Zyrra Falcone, Hosequeen McLean, Fallingwater Celardoor to name a few. Also, be sure to visit Enkythings’ $1L Store (http://slurl.com/secondlife/orbiuna/202/98/352/) with several rooms of free items.

Your favorite websites also have several freebies. Be sure to visit SLExchange (http://www.slexchange.com/) and OnRez (http://shop.onrez.com/) and search for free items.

Finally, several bloggers seek out the latest free offerings. Our favorite is Fabulously Free in SL (http://fabfree.wordpress.com/)!

Remember, once you have a few Linden dollars in your wallet, be sure to show your favorite designers some love by purchasing their regularly priced items.</itunes:summary>

Dark Eden (http://slurl.com/secondlife/dark%20eden/128/52/28/)’s Cephalopod silks caught my eye. While I normally don’t wear silks, I do love Etain Peregrine’s prim work. I’m also wearing the modesty top and thong from Dark Eden’s Medb set; Cake (http://slurl.com/secondlife/fnky%20cake/129/76/26/)’s Wish hair; and Celestial Studios (http://slurl.com/secondlife/celestial%20city/68/240/27/)‘ Vogue skin. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/3/26/.thumbs/.IE_Veronique.jpg)(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/3/26/.thumbs/.tulirfl.JPG) Daphne had to have Iseabella Esoterica’s Veronique dress with it’s attention-getting corset piercing. With that dress, she’s wearing Maitreya (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world%202/206/151/26/)’s Grace shoes; Total Betty (http://slurl.com/secondlife/plush%20rho/119/181/22/)’s Delicate Rose skin for RFL; and ETD’s Marisela hair. I was lucky enough to get to wear Tuli (http://slurl.com/secondlife/le%20zoo/130/143/22/)’s special Relay outfit in FACES’ fashion show. However, I’d already run out and bought it. This outfit, which includes everything from shoes to a headband to jewelry (adorable fabric covered bangles and a gorgeous necklace from Muse (http://slurl.com/secondlife/muse/148/148/24/)) is worth every penny, if not a lot more! I’m also wearing ETD’s Elizabeth hair and Celestial Studios’ Vogue skin. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/3/26/.thumbs/.SS_Clair_de_Lune.jpg)(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/3/26/.thumbs/.pinkhathaway.JPG) A longtime fan of Hyasynth Tiramisu, Daphne couldn’t resist Silent Sparrow (http://slurl.com/secondlife/silent%20sparrow/201/88/21/)’s Clair de Lune outfit in one of the three special RFL colors. Along with Hya’s special edition, Daph’s wearing Shiny Things (http://slurl.com/secondlife/shiny%20falls/173/181/37/)‘ Glossy Ribbon boots; Fleur (http://slurl.com/secondlife/fleur/49/118/27/)’s Lustrous skin; and ETD’s Lovely hair. Finally, even though I already had Icing (http://slurl.com/secondlife/mischief/129/174/24/)’s Hathaway gown in red, I had to support RFL by getting it in pink, too. This gown is perfect for spring and summer formals! I’m also wearing Maitreya’s Verve shoes; my Fleur custom skin; and ETD’s Roslin hair. <itunes:summary>Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ve heard about Second Life’s Relay for Life. The Relay is SL’s big charity drive for the American Cancer Society, and this year it kicked off with a huge clothing fair that began this past Monday. Today, we’re going to talk about the RFL Clothing fair, including the fashion shows taking place during the fair. We’re also going to talk about another show coming up that we hope will be the start of an exciting series! The Relay for Life Clothing Fair has a four sim layout, whose concept was envisioned by Pips Fetid and Nevar Lobo, with all four sims donated by the Rezzable Group. The sims are organized into four seasons with corresponding landscaping for each season. Shopping is around the edges and the fashion show stage is in the middle. Over 80 designers are involved in this year’s clothing fair including: Tuli, Nicky Ree, Icing, Dark Eden, Callie Cline, Mischief, Bare Rose, Nyte n’ Day, Persona, Vitamin Ci, Maitreya, Draconic Kiss, and Silent Sparrow, among others. About half of the designers are selling something that they made especially for the Relay, though all the designers are contributing to the cause. With four sims, there is less lag, but still be considerate and cut down on your prims and scripted objects! Also, remember that the last day of the fair is Sunday March 23rd, so get shopping! There will be live music, treasure hunts, and three huge fashion shows! Tomorrow, Thursday March 20th at 2pm SLT, there will be a show featuring designers from the Autumn and Winter sims, produced by the Atlantis Modeling Agency. On Sunday, March 23rd at 2 pm SLT, ASpiRE! will be producing a show featuring designs from the Spring and Summer sims. On Saturday March 22 10am and again at 2pm SLT, the RFL Showcase Show will feature outfits from over forty designers. All outfits shown are done to benift Relay for Life and will be sold at the Fair 100% profit for RFL. This show is produced by FACES, known for innovative and interesting shows. This show will have an interesting format, but you’ll have to go and see it for yourself because I can’t tell you about it here. I’ve been sworn to secrecy! Come to see me model and hear Daphne and our friend TheDiva Rockin comment on the show. Be sure to check out the FACES blog (http://slfaces.com/blog/) for more information. For more information on the Relay for Life Clothing Fair, visit the Clothing Fair blog (http://www.slrflclothingfair.blogspot.com/). Don’t think that there are no more fashion shows in the works after the RFL clothing fair ends! On March 29 at 2 pm SLT, [ida] (Imagen Divine Agency) will be presenting their Mash-up show, featuring pieces from some of SL’s major designers as well as some up-and-coming designers. This is a new concept show where models will walk the runway in mixed and matched pieces by several designers, as well as pieces from models’ own inventories. I attended meeting for this right show after recording Stylecast Episode 23 on mixing and matching with Haver Cole. Had I been paying attention to the blogs more carefully, I could have mentioned this show on that episode. In any case, the ladies at [ida] have had this show in the works for a while and it should be lots of fun! For more information on what [ida] is up to, visit their website (http://imagendivine.com/). This week’s episode was brought to you by Punch Drunk (http://slurl.com/secondlife/mischief/197/170/24/), Minnu Model Skins (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world/101/137/23/) and Analog Dog Hair (http://slurl.com/secondlife/triggerfish/23/34/21/). <itunes:summary>On this episode of Second Style Stylecast, we speak with model, shape maker, style maven and all around SLebrity Haver Cole about mixing and matching clothes in the land of the pre-packaged outfit. Ms. Cole believes in customizing one’s avatar so that it truly expresses who you are. She even breaks up outfits in her inventory so she can find favorite pieces without a hassle. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/3/12/.thumbs/.mishmash.JPG)As Haver noted, the traditional fashion rules don’t apply in Second Life (and may not even apply so much in real life), so don’t let them constrain you. Feel free to take more risks and experiment with things like pattern mixing. Finally, Haver said that even with our perfect Second Life bodies, we shouldn’t shy away from coverage. She noted that when she wears a short skirt, she’ll balance her look with a full-coverage top, rather than leaving little to the imagination. After talking to Haver about mixing and matching, Daphne and I got into the spirit and put together our own mashups! Daphne is wearing the top from the Autumn Ashes dress from Emery; the skirt from Pixel Dolls’ Anne set; Arme boots from Adam n’ Eve; Muse’s Elle Orchid necklace; ETD’s Lannah hair; and Fleur’s Vivant Apres Ski skin. I’m wearing the jacket from Last Call’s Catwalk Virginie outfit; Gisaci’s Boucle sweater; pants from Veschi’s Jersey Girl outfit; Creamshop’s plain tights; Shiny Things’ Sleek Laceup boots; ETD’s Davina hair; and Celestial Studios’ Vogue skin. <itunes:summary>If you’re listening to Second Style Stylecast, odds are, you love to shop. Not just in Second Life, but in real life as well. In real life, you can shop online or by catalog while you’re at work. Of course, if you don’t have the money to spend, you can spend your lindens at several websites devoted to SL shopping. Now, when your boss catches you shopping online at work, you’re just as likely to be shopping for the latest from PixelDolls as you are to be visiting JCrew.com. Today, we’re going to talk about your options for satisfying your SL shopping urges when you can’t get in-world. SLExchange: http://www.slexchange.com (http://www.slexchange.com/) SLExchange is a full service website that features a marketplace (shopping), a Second Life currency exchange, real estate sales, auctions, and forums. In the marketplace, there are many categories of items, the largest by far being apparel. While shopping, you can mark items as favorites or rate them. When you buy items on the site you can have them delivered to you, or to another avatar in-world. OnRez: http://shop.onrez.com (http://shop.onrez.com/) OnRez is primarily a shopping site run by Electric Sheep Company, however they also have a blog and their own Second Life viewer. At OnRez, you can shop for yourself or for other avatars, though gifts given through OnRez are anonymous. Like SLExchange, you can manage your OnRez account in-world at a kiosk. You can also deposit money through PayPal, or in-world through a “wallet” that you rez and pay. While SLExchange may be a bigger site, in our opinion, OnRez is the more fashionable site, with work from some of Second Life’s hottest designers and a seller directory to help you shop. Shop Armidi: http://mygiftcard.shoparmidi.com (http://mygiftcard.shoparmidi.com/) This is something quite new for Second Life — single brand online shopping. At ShopArmidi, you can buy all the merchandise that is available for sale on the Armidi sim. Right now, the site is only open to gift card holders (and gift cards aren’t for sale at the moment). However, it will open to the general public in the spring. If you do have a gift card, register it in-world at Armidi Beauty. The only drawback to this site right now is that you can’t give gifts to other avies, though the gift cards will be available again soon. SLShopper: http://www.sluniverse.com/php/shop (http://www.sluniverse.com/php/shop) Not really a shopping site, this is part of SLUniverse. You can’t make purchases at SLShopper, but you can plan your next in-world shopping trip! This site features a collection of classified ads with descriptions of items, pictures, prices, dates items were added and SLurls. You can label items and add them to a list of things to buy later when you can get in-world. So, even when you can’t log in to Second Life, you can shop, or at least plan your next in-world shopping trip. That way, you’ll never get SL shopping withdrawal! By the way, Second Life The Official Guide Second Edition was just released and both “Second Style Stylecast” and “Going Broke with Daphne and Tamara” were mentioned as shopping resources! Our boss, Celebrity Trollop wrote the chapter on shopping in the guide. And our friend Madison Carnot and I both wrote short inserts on Second Life shopping for the book. Check it out at your local bookstore, or save money by buying it from Amazon.com! This week’s episode was brought to you by Punch Drunk (http://slurl.com/secondlife/mischief/197/170/24/), Minnu Model Skins (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world/101/137/23/) and Analog Dog Hair (http://slurl.com/secondlife/triggerfish/23/34/21/). Some of the music in this episode is from the Podsafe Music Network (http://music.podshow.com/). Second Style Stylecast is part of the SL Podcast Network. <itunes:summary>This Saturday, Second Life’s First International Skin Fair begins at 1 pm SLT on the Vanity Universe sim, and it lasts until April 5, 2008. In the days leading up to the skin fair, there have been a lot of interesting developments in the skin business. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/2/27/.thumbs/.CS_Winter_1.jpg)First, Starley Thereian of Celestial Studios (http://slurl.com/secondlife/celestial%20city/68/240/27/) has finally released her line of Vogue winter skins after weeks of dealing with computer and SL bugs. The skins have four different winter looks, including: matte wine lips, a frosty white look, a pale pink look, and deep chocolatey lips. We have heard this may be Starley’s last skin release, but we haven’t been able to confirm this; of course, we hope it’s not true! In the meantime, Starley does plan to put her other seasonal skins back on her sales floor in the near future. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/2/27/.thumbs/.Canimal_Earth.jpg) (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/2/27/fleurparfait.JPG)Canimal Zephyr of Canimal (http://slurl.com/secondlife/canimal/178/75/25/) has just released her Essence Skins. According to Canimal, each skintone is named after a different feminine quality: Grace, Charm, Mystery, Lust and Charisma. The makeups were named after essences of something else, such as snow, sunset, and poison, just to name a few. Each Essence skin comes with 7 different brow shapes (try them with your other skins, too!), 5 different colored eyes, and directions to change lip and brow colors and add lipgloss. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/2/27/fleurparfait.JPG)(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/2/27/.thumbs/.fleurparfait.JPG) (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/2/27/.thumbs/.Fleur_Lustrous_2.jpg) Fleur (http://slurl.com/secondlife/fleur/49/118/27/) used to be called Tete a Pied, but Roslin Petion and CJ Carnot rebranded. In addition, they remodeled their store to look like the Raffles Hotel in Singapore to make shopping easier. They have also started a new Boutique line of skins to compliment their Vivant line. They have already released two skins in this line, the Shoujo and the Parfait. The Shoujo skin is anime inspired and porcelain smooth. The Parfait skin is a girlish, hand-drawn skin. More releases are planned in the Vivant and Boutique lines. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/2/27/.thumbs/.mellie3ggirl.JPG)On the first day of the skin fair, Annyka Bekkers will release Blowpop (http://slurl.com/secondlife/fuzzy/235/171/36/)’s Mellie3 skins. These skins will be available only at the fair for the first few weeks, then they will be available at Blowpop’s store. Ms. Bekkers has completely redone her skins from top to toe, not skipping any detail; even the ears have been redone! With each skin purchase, the buyer will get 8 skins: black brows or brown brows, freckles or no freckles, trimmed or bare bikini lines. Of course, the Mellie3 skins will come in Blowpop’s usual range of skintones and several gorgeous makeups. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/2/27/.thumbs/.minnueditorial.JPG)Finally, we have to note that Minnu Model Skins (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world/96/179/23/)‘ Generation 3 skins are available in stores. These are the skins preferred by many of Second Life’s models for their classic high cheekbones and glamorous makeups. While the cheekbones are still there, the lips and brows are a touch softer, and the body has been completely redone with many upgrades, including an improved cleavage. Unlike many other skin designers, Minnu Palen doesn’t do the same makeups for each skin tone, preferring to tailor her makeup choices to what looks best on each skin tone. Be sure to check out releases by all of our featured designers at the skin fair coming this weekend!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>In this episode of Second Style Stylecast, Daphne and I participated in our new Fashion Challenge. She and I each chose an item around which we each built three outfits. Daphne chose Maitreya (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world%202/206/151/26/)’s Dune boots, and I chose Ingenue (http://slurl.com/secondlife/born/98/43/32/)’s Cigarette pants. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/23/.thumbs/.Launa%20Fauna.jpg)(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/23/.thumbs/.look1.JPG) Daphne’s first outfit is a casual outfit. She chose LF Fashions (http://slurl.com/secondlife/port%20seraphine/113/121/46/)‘ Strict Jeans, Pale tee, and USB choker. She also decided to wear Refuge (http://slurl.com/secondlife/sinistyle/115/194/26/)’s Bed Head hair and Whispers of Night (http://slurl.com/secondlife/temenos/156/108/107/)’s Blood Twilight skin. My outfit is also a casual look, perfect for apres ski. I’m wearing MG Fashions (http://slurl.com/secondlife/mystikal/129/120/27/)‘ Hunting Season sweater (I moved the collar from the chest to the spine to accommodate a necklace); Miriel (http://slurl.com/secondlife/nouveau/117/202/23/)’s Bounded Elegance choker and Casual Pearl earrings; Caroline (http://slurl.com/secondlife/lo%20lo/54/182/23/)’s Art Deco Emerald ring; Lassitude & Ennui (http://slurl.com/secondlife/nouveau/62/62/31/)’s Chloe flats; Celestial Studios (http://slurl.com/secondlife/celestial%20city/68/240/27/) Vogue Fall skin; and ETD (http://slurl.com/secondlife/etd%20isle/194/192/31/)’s Anisa hair. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/23/.thumbs/.Ghosts%20Are.jpg)(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/23/.thumbs/.look2.JPG) Daphne’s next look was a little dressier. To accent her boots, she chose Savvy? (http://slurl.com/secondlife/froth/67/221/23/)’s Ghosts Are outfit; ETD’s Lynne II hair; and LF Chai (http://slurl.com/secondlife/freelon/127/85/30/)’s Cole skin. My second look was a hot date look. I tore the seams of my G.L.A.M. (http://slurl.com/secondlife/viva%20la%20glam/129/115/23/) Luxe Satin Fleur babydoll and just wore the top and the satin flowers. I added Fashionably Dead (http://slurl.com/secondlife/russel%20bay/169/235/26/)’s Late for the Ball earrings; Paper Couture (http://slurl.com/secondlife/barcola/80/125/26/)’s Logo bracelet; Zhao (http://slurl.com/secondlife/agard/237/34/25/)’s Bella shoes; ETD’s Sofia hair; and Tete a Pied (http://slurl.com/secondlife/fleur/222/224/23/)’s Vivant Vin skin (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/23/.thumbs/.Swirly%20Cyclone.jpg)(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/23/.thumbs/.look3.JPG) For her final look, Daphne chose her favorite dress, Kyoot Army (http://slurl.com/secondlife/silent/127/204/41/)’s Swirly Cyclone dress. She added Refuge’s Jenna hair and Tete a Pied’s Vivant Biba skin. For my last look, I decided to put together something for going shopping with the girls. I removed the top jacket panel of the pants so that I could wear MG Fashions’ Crocheted Shrug over LeeZu Baxter (http://slurl.com/secondlife/centro%20italia/166/163/22/)’s Babydoll top. Then I added Muse (http://slurl.com/secondlife/muse/148/148/24/)’s Eclectic necklace and earrings; Earthtones (http://slurl.com/secondlife/muse/148/148/24/)‘ Feuille Naturelle cuff; Shiny Things (http://slurl.com/secondlife/shiny%20falls/173/181/37/)‘ Ruffle boots; Celestial Studios Vogue skin; and ETD’s Luth hair. This week’s episode was brought to you by Hairstyles by Tami McCoy (http://slurl.com/secondlife/dixie/88/91/23/), Minnu Model Skins (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world/101/137/23/) and Analog Dog Hair (http://slurl.com/secondlife/triggerfish/23/34/21/). <itunes:summary>We’ve come to the end of an era in Second Life. This past Friday, Last Call (http://slurl.com/secondlife/dazzle/68/11/27/) began its huge 100 Linden sale to give everyone a last chance to buy their favorite outfits before Last Call shut its doors forever. Since this sale lasts about a month, we thought we’d help you navigate it by telling you about some of our favorite Last Call outfits. We also wanted to take this opportunity to pay tribute to designer Ginny Talamasca. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/16/.thumbs/.Frida.jpg)(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/16/.thumbs/.damara.JPG) One of Daphne’s favorites is the Autumnal Frida set. The gorgeous coat can be worn as either a coat or a jacket, and comes with or without the crisp white shirt beneath it. As a bonus, it also comes with a great pair of Last Call jeans that can be mixed and matched with other items. Daphne has accented Autumnal Frida with LC Vamp’s Emberlei boots; ETD (http://slurl.com/secondlife/etd%20isle/194/192/31/)’s Lannah hair; and LF Chai (http://slurl.com/secondlife/freelon/127/85/30/)’s Cole skin. My favorite casual outfit is a mix of Damara and Kirsten. Both outfits feature classic Last Call slacks with Kirsten’s in gray slacks and Damara’s in pinstripes. The sleek black vest from Damara looks great over the pouf-sleeved, scoop-necked blouse from Kirsten. While Damara comes with an adorable coin belt, I chose to wear UnTone (http://slurl.com/secondlife/koenji/116/139/39/)’s Hana belt. I also added Muse (http://slurl.com/secondlife/muse/148/148/24/)’s Claris Pearl earrings; Marlys (http://slurl.com/secondlife/envy/138/105/22/)‘ Poo’s Perfume necklace; Tesla (http://slurl.com/secondlife/tesla/68/91/54/)’s Diva shoes; ETD’s Anisa hair; and Tete a Pied (http://slurl.com/secondlife/fleur/222/224/23/)’s Paon skin. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/16/.thumbs/.Femme%20Fatale.jpg)(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/16/.thumbs/.serafina_001.JPG) Never one to go for just basic black, Daphne loves the Femme Fatale Trench Coat Dress. With a black leather shorty trench topping a shredded tulle skirt and a lacy black bra underneath, this outfit will definately stand out in a sea of little black dresses. Daphne has also added LC Vamp’s Liah boots; ETD’s Lacey hair; and Tete a Pied’s special edition Fleur skin. Though I swore I’d never wear a white formal, I fell in love with the Serafina gown. This simple gown with its soft cowl neck and subtle gold accents looks anything but bridal. I love to wear it with gorgeous “statement” jewelry, such as Muse’s Marguerite Peacock Feather necklace and earrings. Add a simple ponytail like Calla (http://slurl.com/secondlife/callatropia/125/194/24/)’s Snowdrop, a simple skin such as one of Vogue’s Deviant Nation skins (also sold at Last Call), some simple shoes like Storm Schmooz (http://slurl.com/secondlife/modish/96/162/0/)’s Elegance shoes and you’re ready to go. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/16/.thumbs/.Aphrodite.jpg)(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/16/.thumbs/.marguerite_001.JPG) In contrast with the sleek simplicity of Serafina, Daphne loves the romantic frills of Aphrodite’s lacy top and tiered skirt. This outfit is perfect for late night, barefoot walks on the beach, though Daph chose to wear LC Vamp’s Liah boots (she really is addicted) for her moonlight stroll. She also added ETD’s softly rumpled Marisela; Tekeli-li (http://slurl.com/secondlife/asunder/111/131/39/)’s Sinqui choker; and Vogue (http://slurl.com/secondlife/celestial%20city/68/240/27/)’s Mid Burgundy skin. Finally, I had to feature Last Call’s Catwalk Collection Marguerite Film Noir Dress Set. This sumptuous black ensemble has a lacy top, three different neck wraps (including a boa!) and SEVEN different skirt options. This is a classic example of Last Call’s versatility.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Now that the holidays are over, Second Life inventories are larger and less organized than ever! In this episode of Second Style Stylecast, we’re going to give you some tips on organizing your cluttered inventories. We’re also going to discuss the Fashionista Closet, a device that can help anyone manage a large inventory more efficiently. Welcome to Episode 14 of Second Style Stylecast! We’re going to start with simple inventory organization. First of all, the folders Linden Lab gave you are not enough. For example, the clothing folder is where all unfoldered and unboxed clothing lands when it first enters your inventory. To prevent things getting lost, make a new clothing folder with plenty of sub-folders for all of your gear. You’ll also want folders for things like hair, jewelry, accessories, clothing, shoes, etc. Simply create folders for all the different categories of items in your inventory. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/09/.thumbs/.Inventory.jpg) Next, organize your folders to work for you. In your clothing folder, you can sort by designer or type of clothing. Don’t be afraid of creating subfolders! For your hair, you can sort by designer, color or style, or make a system to sort for all three. Think of how you tend to search for items and let that guide you in creating and organizing your folder. If you have the patience, and the Lindens, try to add pictures of outfits or items to your inventory. That way, you won’t have to try on or rez everything just to see what it is. You can also use notecards with descriptions or notes to make your inventory more manageable. Don’t be afraid to rename stuff or add to names if you think that will help you. While you’re at it, make folders of favorite outfits that you can drag and drop on yourself, and be sure to include your animation overrider! Also, make a “me” folder you can drag and drop on yourself to get out of sticky situations. Include everything you put on from your shape to your accessories. This folder can be very useful if you find a wide-eyed child staring over your shoulder at your monitor at a bad moment. Now that you’ve got your folders, start putting things in them! Use the “new window” feature to make sorting easier; it’s easier to drag an item across to a new folder than it is to make it scroll up or down through a bunch of folders. The “close all folders” option is also helpful for when all of your folders have popped open. Finally, don’t be afraid to delete what you can’t use or transfer; practice random acts of kindness and give stuff to new residents. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/1/09/.thumbs/.fashionista_001.JPG) Now, even organization isn’t enough for a truly huge inventory. If you have a gigantic inventory, or anticipate having one, try Dominus Designs’ Fashionista (http://slurl.com/secondlife/imaginenation/133/192/23/) - The Clothing and Inventory Closet by Dominus Skye. THIS IS ONLY FOR COPYABLE ITEMS!!!! Get that? Copyable items only! This is like a zip file for your inventory. It comes with two sets of easy to understand instructions, one for new residents, one for experienced residents. There are even instructions for saving Lindens on downloading photos for the HUD. There’s no limit on the number of items you can store, and you can store things by the outfit or by the item. The Fashionista is great for hair and absolutely perfect for content creators! Daphne and I highly recommend The Fashionista for reducing inventory lag. Now you’ve got our tips for inventory organization as well as the name of a device to help you on your way. Get sorting! <itunes:summary>Welcome to Second Style Stylecast. In our last show before the holidays, we’re going to talk about vintage fashion and where you can go to find old school glamour and great gifts for guys and girls. Join us as we tour some of our favorite vintage inspired stores in SL! (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/19/.thumbs/.Ingenue.jpg)First, we visited Ingenue on the Born sim. Designer Betty Doyle’s passion for vintage and retro-inspired fashion led her to create one of Second Life’s most glamorous shops. Visit for forties, fifties and sixties inspired hair and fashion for women. Most store vendors give the buyer the option of choosing between the “copy” and “transfer” permissions (though hair and outfits including hair do not allow the transfer option). You can also find Ingenue at OnRez (http://shop.onrez.com/), or contact Betty Doyle for gift cards. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/19/.thumbs/.artillerli%20search.jpg)Next, we headed over to Artilleri, on the artilleri sim. Designer Antonia Marat has created a rockabilly paradise in a bright, cheerful diner. Find clothes, accessories, hair, skin and tattoos for men and women while you dance or just lounge in one of the booths. For your gift-giving convenience, Artilleri has gift cards available. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/19/.thumbs/.Total%20Betty.jpg)We also went to Total Betty on the Son sim. Betty Barracuda’s retro-inspired store has a wonderful open feel. Here, you can find fun women’s clothing inspired by fifties fashions. To give a gift from Total Betty, contact Ms. Barracuda, or look for her merchandise on OnRez. After Total Betty, we made our way to GRANDMA! on the Osaka sim. Hanae Nishi’s seventies-inspired designs hang from clothes lines in this funky little store. You can pick up bright polyester clothes for men or women here. Note that none of the items are transfer, and there are no gift cards. We recommend contacting the designer, or just bringing the gift recipient to GRANDMA! Afterwards, you can go take pictures of each other in the giant wallabee outside of BP*, also on the Osaka sim. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/19/.thumbs/.Ivalde.jpg)Finally, we went to Ivalde on the wintry Ivalde sim! Neferia Abel has created Second Life’s biggest vintage, retro, and period clothing emporium on the sim she modeled after a Norwegian village. Her designs are organized by decade, so it’s very easy to find the look you want. Items are transfer, so you can chose the gift you’d like to give. Be sure to stop by Ask, the men’s store on Ivalde, for gifts for that special guy! This week’s episode was brought to you by Minnu Model Skins (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world/101/137/23/) and Analog Dog Hair (http://slurl.com/secondlife/triggerfish/23/34/21/). <itunes:summary>(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/5/.thumbs/.Le%20Zoo.jpg) In Episode 11, we aren’t going to talk about clothes. We’re going to talk about islands. Well, islands full of clothes and other things we love shopping for. Recently, two of our favorite designers have opened up their own new islands, treating all of us to a relatively lag-free shopping experience. And one of our favorite islands has just reopened after recovering from a drastic face-lift. Finally, we’ll discuss two more shopping islands, one newly opened, and one on the way. Welcome to Second Style Stylecast! The first island we visited was Nicky Ree’s Tropical Orchid (http://slurl.com/secondlife/tropical%20orchid/230/129/31/). Nicky’s island is dominated by her new mega flagship Designing Nicky Ree shop. Here, you can find everything Nicky Ree for all of your fashion needs. Nicky’s neighbor on Deco, Shai Delacroix, also has her own new island for the Casa del Shai (http://slurl.com/secondlife/casa%20del%20shai/128/128/0/). While this island is open, it’s not quite finished! There’s a gorgeous new store on top of the island, but Ms. Delacroix is planning something more under the island. We’ll just have to wait and see what she’s dreamed up. But if the Casa del Shai garden is any indication, it will something whimsical and fun. Tableau (http://slurl.com/secondlife/tableau/140/74/22/) has recently reopened after recovering from a massive face-lift. There was nothing wrong with the old Tableau, but the new Tableau is amazing. Modeled after New Orleans, it’s so lushly drawn, you can feel the humidity! You can still find Fashionably Dead, Nylon Outfitters, Yummy, and Barnes, though we’re still waiting for Paper Couture to reopen there (visit the Barcola (http://slurl.com/secondlife/barcola/80/125/26/) location in the meantime!). However now, there are even more shops and a great little coffee shop filled with art. Don’t forget to visit the Voodoo Shack to get clues for the island’s scavenger hunt! After searching for unique hand-drawn skins on Tableau, be sure to head over to Le Zoo (http://slurl.com/secondlife/le%20zoo/130/143/22/) for some more great shopping. Anchored by Tuli, a new Pushbutton Industries main store, Tres Blah, and Opium, Le Zoo is also the new home to Second Style’s headquarters. Grab a golf cart and tool around all the great shops and sights with your balloon animal in hand! Finally, we’re all waiting with baited breath for Saeya Nyanda’s new island, Silent. Silent will be the headquarters for Kyoot Army and the new store to be devoted to Saeya’s Photosphere. In addition to Kyoot Army, there will be an even bigger Savvy? and several other shops. The island will have a film noir theme, with everything in grayscale, with touches of color. We can’t wait to see what Saeya has up her sleeve! This week’s episode was brought to you by Casa del Shai (http://slurl.com/secondlife/deco/102/160/31), Minnu Model Skins (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world/101/137/23/), and Analog Dog Hair (http://slurl.com/secondlife/triggerfish/23/34/21/). <itunes:summary>With all of the gorgeous dresses on the grid, what can you do to really stand out? With one of the new great tuxedos for women, of course! But why limit ourselves to the ones designed for women? There are some great mens’ suits out there that would be fun to wear, too! Starting with the ones designed for women, Tete a Pied (http://slurl.com/secondlife/nouveau/197/149/23/)’s new Novembre women’s tux is an instant classic! Inspired by Marlene Dietrich, this tux will make any avie instantly elegant. Wear it with the white dress shirt for a more menswear inspired look, or without for a strong sexy look. Don’t forget to pick up the Novembre skins to go with this tux. They’re only available through the end of the month. If you’re going to discuss tuxedos, you have to talk about Blaze (http://slurl.com/secondlife/blaze/68/125/53/). They just released a new Columbia Suit for women that comes with a skirt and tuxedo pants. This suit comes in a wide variety of Earth tones and Rich tones and can be worn as a business suit or a tuxedo. It also comes with it’s own stockings and matching bow-tie for a truly coordinated look.(http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/14/.thumbs/.Blaze%20-%20Columbia.jpg) Some mens’ suits look great on women. Take a look at Aitui (http://slurl.com/secondlife/aitui/129/129/27/)’s Reborn suit that’s now available in green, maroon, and navy as well as black. This slim-fitting suit stretches over curves and looks great with heels. You can also wear the jacket alone or over a camisole for a more feminine look. If you’re going to talk about fun men’s suits that women like to wear, you have to mention Casa del Shai (http://slurl.com/secondlife/deco/102/160/31/). Shai Delacroix has made several suits that women covet. From the classic Adulterer’s suit to the new Le Smoking, Shai’s suits look just as good on female avies as on male avies. That’s because she designs the suits knowing that women will want them, too! So, there are great options out there for all female avies! Get out there and show your style in a great tuxedo or suit! This week’s episode was brought to you by Casa del Shai (http://slurl.com/secondlife/deco/102/160/31), Minnu Model Skins (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world/101/137/23/), and Analog Dog Hair (http://slurl.com/secondlife/triggerfish/23/34/21/). <itunes:summary>Today, we’re going to talk about something that a lot of people care about. The perfect pair of jeans. We’re not limiting ourselves to new releases, because we’re going to talk about some of the best pairs of jeans in Second Life, some of which have been around for a very long time and which have become classics. For example, (Iki) painter jeans from Torridwear (http://slurl.com/secondlife/port%20seraphine/23/233/48/) have been around SL for quite a while. These jeans come in a pack of several colors with an easel and paint brush. Included are both a pant and an underwear layer, so you can wear these paint-spattered jeans with boots if you like. You can also wear your hip tattoos with the painter jeans because they’re very low in front! Because these are classic jeans, they don’t come with prim cuffs. However the legs are only slightly flared, keeping them up to date. If you’re looking for a classic pair of hand drawn jeans, you have to see Nylon Outfitters (http://slurl.com/secondlife/lions%20shore/86/81/22/)‘ Sequin heart jeans. Dakota Buck told us about these beautifully shaded jeans with fabric that really looks like it’s stretching around your hips. Nylon Pinkney did a great job with the fading on these. And, if you didn’t already stare at your SL bum all the time, the sequined hearts on the back pockets will make sure you do! (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/7/.thumbs/.TB%20JuJu%20og_jeans.jpg)Another great pair of hand drawn jeans are Tres Blah (http://slurl.com/secondlife/russel%20bay/169/235/26/)’s JuJu jeans. These well worn jeans look like they’d be the softest, comfiest jeans in your wardrobe. Since they hit just below the waist, they almost show some bum cleavage, but not quite! And the back shading gives even the flattest rear some lift. If you’re looking for a dressier pair of jeans, check out Mischief (http://slurl.com/secondlife/mischief%20isle/46/129/23/)’s NexGen denim collection. The boot leg jeans are great trouser cut jeans that come in black and dark blue. They’re a sleeker style you can wear with or without the prim cuffs. Of course, they do come with an underwear layer so you can wear them with boots. And they also don’t have patch pockets in the back, so they’re super flattering for any shape. For great worn and torn jeans, check out Renegade (http://slurl.com/secondlife/berard/75/155/309/)’s South 59 jeans. These are the only ripped jeans that our fashionista friends mentioned when asked about their favorite SL jeans. In addition to ripped knees, the South 59 jeans have sexy rips right under your bottom. Also, the embroidery on the back pockets will emphasize your curves. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/7/.thumbs/.LF%20Athena.jpg)Finally, the best photorealistic jeans in SL have to be LF Fashions (http://slurl.com/secondlife/freelon/130/91/31/)‘ jeans by Launa Fauna. Our friend Madison Carnot told us about these amazing jeans, and our backsides haven’t been the same since then. Launa makes several different styles of jeans, from the low cut Ingenues to the skinny Athena jeans. Each of her jeans come in underwear and pants layers, and they each have three different sets of prim cuffs making them incredibly versatile. But almost everyone we talked to said that the Trusty jeans, that hit just below the tops of your hips, are the holy grail of SL jeans. No matter which pair of jeans you choose, Daphne and I promise that none of them will make your ass look fat! This week’s episode was brought to you by Casa del Shai (http://slurl.com/secondlife/deco/102/160/31), Minnu Model Skins (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world/101/137/23/), and Analog Dog Hair (http://slurl.com/secondlife/triggerfish/23/34/21/). <itunes:summary> Is anyone else out there unpacking their sweaters for the fall? Has anyone else noticed something about those old sweaters? Yes, they’re boring! Boring and moth-eaten. You know what that means. New sweaters!!!!!! (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/31/.thumbs/.CKSD.jpg)Some of our favorite new sweaters come from CKS Designs (http://slurl.com/secondlife/selby/33/51/70/) by Kit Maitland. She makes traditional styles with subtle twists. All of her sweaters, Lenore, Madeline, and Annabel, come in both bright and muted packs. Lenore is a fun, cropped sweater vest that can be worn with or without the white button-down shirt that comes with it. Madeline is an expertly shaded long-sleeved fair isle sweater that can be worn tucked or untucked. Annabel is an adorable cardi that comes with fun camis that you can mix and match! (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/31/.thumbs/.DC%20-%20Claire%20Sweater.jpg)Abby Coalcliff of Devilish Cupcake (http://slurl.com/secondlife/talana/220/42/26/) has also come out with the Claire collection including some great basics in fun colors. While technically not a sweater, the Claire shirt makes a great simple crew neck that can be worn on its own or as a layering piece. The Claire turtlenecks are also fun under the season’s hot new coats, or sleek on their own. The Claire sweater, with it’s fun zig-zag striping, is a great retro piece that can be worn with or without the prim cowl neck. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/31/.thumbs/.MG%20-%20Soraya%20Knitted%20Sweater.jpg)Maria Gherardi of MG Fashions (http://slurl.com/secondlife/portucalis/64/166/22/) released two sets of cozy sweaters with fun details. Gwyn is a space-dyed cowl-neck that comes in thirteen colors. While I wasn’t sold on Gwyn at first, I fell in love with it’s cozy prim cowl. Soraya is a long-sleeved vee-neck with vibrant stripes and sweet little pockets on the front! Once you put this one on, you won’t want to take it off, until you see the Outono sweaters. With softly gathered necklines, this sweater is fun and feminine. Truth Hawks of Truth (http://slurl.com/secondlife/sweet%20sorrow/109/123/26/) also put out a great v-neck for men that the ladies will love, too! The Tight Knit comes in four great basic colors each with a white button-down underneath. The hand-drawn oxford looks almost silky, like it would feel just marvelous against your skin. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/31/.thumbs/.Tres%20Blah.jpg)On warmer fall days, we like to wear Tres Blah (http://slurl.com/secondlife/amicitia/156/179/28/)’s new cardigan with a floral tank by Julliette Westerberg. This lovely hand drawn shawl collared cardigan will make you feel like you’re wearing a watercolor painting. Of course, we can’t forget to mention the great hoodies that are out there! Our favorites come from Eat Me! (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glass%20earth/109/170/23/) and Passions Neko Dreams (http://slurl.com/secondlife/slustleria/19/69/28/). Eat Me!’s Happi Hoodi comes with four different styles of hood — three with different animal ears, and one without. There are also tons of goodies to put in your pockets. However, when you buy Saur Holt’s Snow Tiger Cub Hoody, you don’t just get a cozy top, you get a new pal, a soft little white tiger cub! This week’s episode was brought to you by Casa del Shai (http://slurl.com/secondlife/deco/102/160/31), Minnu Model Skins (http://slurl.com/secondlife/glam%20world/101/137/23/), and Analog Dog Hair (http://slurl.com/secondlife/triggerfish/23/34/21/). <itunes:summary>This week, for a change of pace, we spoke with Mr. Ryan Darragh, the Editor in Chief of Men’s Second Style (http://www.second-man.com/). While Ryan doesn’t claim to know all there is to know about men’s fashion in Second Life, he does know what he likes and he does have some definite opinions. First, Ryan told us about the newest trend in men’s fashion — the sculptie prim. The Second Life man could be attired in sculpties from head to toe, literally. In everything from hair to footwear, the sculptie has revolutionized men’s design. He prefers designers include several sizes of prim attachments when they sell an item, because, like me, he hates resizing prims. Also, he would like to see designers include more layers for shirts to avoid midriff-baring when he and other men wear low-rise jeans! As someone with a lot of fashion clout, he could easily give a thumbs-down to any style trend, yet Ryan is very easy-going and believes that there is room in Second Life for all styles. However he personally enjoys seeing designers reinterpret classic, even iconic, looks. Some of Ryan’s favorite stores in Second Life are: Casa del Shai (http://slurl.com/secondlife/deco/102/160/31/); FORM (http://slurl.com/secondlife/varado/148/140/30/); [CIVVIES] (http://slurl.com/secondlife/maggiore/127/127/601/); Gearshift (http://slurl.com/secondlife/maggiore/127/127/601/); *TRUTH* (http://slurl.com/secondlife/bali%20loa/134/118/27/); Armidi (http://slurl.com/secondlife/armidi/136/129/26/); Aitui (http://slurl.com/secondlife/aitui/129/129/27/); and Pushbutton Industries (http://slurl.com/secondlife/envy/185/96/23/). <itunes:summary>It’s October, and many of us are feeling a chill in the air. Well, many of us in the Northern Hemisphere; okay well North of the Tropic of Cancer. Even if you live on a tropical island, you can’t help but notice a huge fashion trend — COATS. This year, more designers than ever have been adding coats to their lines. We’ve been seeing everything from traditional fall trenches to luxurious leathers to couture-inspired toppers. Remember, this is Second Life, we don’t have to be practical. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/3/.thumbs/.Jones%20Coat.jpg)The first coat that caught our eye was LeeZu Baxter’s (http://slurl.com/secondlife/centro%20italia/148/188/21/) Jones Coat. Thought the Jones coat isn’t exactly a new release, it certainly seemed to start a trend. It was first offered in brown leather and then in forest, sand and lion (a cream with deep red embroidery). This coat is composed of a system jacket (that may be worn alone), a system skirt, and prim collar, sleeves, belt, and swingy attachments for the hips. The Jones Coat, despite its simple name, is all about luxury. The next coat to come on the scene was the Audrey coat from Immortelle (http://slurl.com/secondlife/dashton/243/243/22/). Originally, this coat only came in black and the prim bottom was a must. After receiving several customer requests, designer Kat Palmer added another system jacket layer that could be worn without the skirt, and she added the coat in brown, cranberry & pumpkin. I also heard a rumor that her store group got Audrey in navy. This is a well-drawn, detailed coat. While some may wish there were a prim collar, Audrey’s hand-drawn collar allows the wearer to add a necklace, scarf and maybe even a brooch with this adorable coat or a pea jacket, depending on how you choose to wear it. Ginny Talamasca added two coat outfits to her most recent release for Last Call (http://slurl.com/secondlife/dazzle/68/11/27/), both with her signature decolletage. Frida is a military inspired black tailcoat with a white blouse and distressed jeans. Not only can the jacket layer be worn with or without the system skirt coat bottom, thanks to its expertly finished hem, it can also be worn with blouse layer and its gorgeous lacy cuffs. Always a master of details, Ginny has drawn hook and eye fasteners that make it very easy to dress up the Frida coat should you choose to skip the jeans. In her Last Call by Dazzle blog (http://www.lastcallbydhc.com/), Ginny noted that she named her favorite outfit after herself. The coat in the Ginny ensemble is a smooth cream accented with black embroidery. Once again, Ginny gives you the option of wearing the jacket without the system skirt bottom because of its beautifully tailored hem. While the outfit comes with a simple black shift that looks great with knee high black boots, i love to wear the coat with a simple black shell and black leather pants. And now a word from our sponsors. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/3/.thumbs/.Shai.jpg)Dahlink, now you go to our friend Shai Delacroix’s Casa Del Shai (http://slurl.com/secondlife/deco/112/150/30/) and you buy the Natascha coats. The Natascha comes in vermillion and gray, but we think you should buy both so you can mix and match the contrasting gloves. Shai is a true artist and you can really see that in the shading of this double-breasted trench. The jacket layer can be worn alone or with one of the coat bottoms; the system skirt is very sleek, and the prim bottom looks great on taller avies. For a sophisticated, ladylike look, I love Shai’s Kingston trench in cafe au lait plaid. While you can wear the jacket alone, the pleated skirt (which comes in two lengths) is so cute, you won’t want to go without it! And like the Audrey coat, Kingston doesn’t have a prim collar that would interfere with a necklace. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/3/.thumbs/.Rick.jpg)However, if ladylike isn’t your thing,</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>This past week, we visited the 2007 Jewelry Exposition on OnRez Orientation Island. Over 80 of Second Life’s finest jewelry designers exhibited their work in the week-long event with a charity auction to benefit the American Red Cross. There were also parties and a treasure hunt for 17 items by some of the exhibitors. Sadly, Daphne and I only found nine of the tiny treasures. We also found so much truly creative and detailed work that we had a very hard time choosing our favorite designers and pieces to share with you. We could be cruel and discuss the fabulous Antique Pearl Choker set from Paper Couture (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tableau/160/106/0/) that included a gorgeous 3-strand pearl choker with a silver clasp and playful tassel finish and matching earrings. Yes, that would be cruel because all of the jewelry Paper Couture exhibited at the expo is no longer available now that the expo is over. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/25/.thumbs/.chatelainesilver.jpg)Luckily, Muse’s Chatelaine Shoulder Brooch and Chain are still available at Muse. (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Linji/143/152/49/) Jeweler Caliah Lyon really outdid herself with this gorgeous piece. Available in both silver and gold with your choice of black or white feathers, it’s not quite a necklace and not quite a brooch. The chain is delicately sculpted, as are the leaves, adorned with diamonds, cultured pearls and Tahitian pearls. It’s especially stunning with a backless gown where the chain gracefully trails down the side of your back ending in two swinging pearl drops. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/25/.thumbs/.Snake%20Necklace.jpg)Daphne was wowed by jeweler Saga Felix’s Snake necklace and armlet in black. The subtle sheen of the gunmetal snake can accent any outfit from a casual tank and jeans to a simple formal. You can wear either piece on its own, or pair the necklace and armlet for more drama. Ms. Felix also notes that her necklaces won’t knock off Gorean collars when you put them on. To check out the delicate ruby eyes on these serpentine beauties, visit SAGA. (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Gembong%20East/18/149/29/) Of course, we needed clothes to wear with all of our fabulous new jewelry, and designer Simone Stern of Simone! (http://slurl.com/secondlife/simone/118/140/36/) just completed a mega-release of over 30 formals. This has to be her most colorful release yet! There are also scads of fitted dresses, so be sure to wear your dress shapes. Everyone will find something special at Simone! Whether your taste is conservative or wild, whether you prefer bright colors or pastels, whether you like fitted skirts or belle skirts, you will find the perfect gown at Simone! (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/25/.thumbs/.Ebony.jpg)We love the Ebony gown with its dramatic cape that you can wear or leave off to flaunt the dominatrix-like bodice. This unusual gown, only available in black, is perfect for sipping absinthe in a smoky room with flocked velvet wallpaper and worn chaise lounges. (http://stylecast.secondstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/25/.thumbs/.Grand%20Entrance.jpg)In contrast, Grand entrance is a softly feminine gown with a floaty sheer flexi skirt worn over a fitted skirt. A dress shape is a must with this lovely pastel creation that features contrasting jeweled lace under the bust and trimming the gloves. For old Hollywood glamour, you have to see the Crawford gown. In black or white, this sleek mermaid hemmed gown has gorgeous jeweled details on the bust and straps. Accent this with a white stole and tiara for an Audrey Hepburn look. While both Daphne and I loved the Ebony, Grand Entrance, and Crawford gowns, we did each have some different personal favorites. The versatility of Gladiolus won me over. You can wear this formal with either the belle skirt or a mermaid skirt with a double row of lace at the bottom.</itunes:summary>
